Description:
The Fleur de Lys consists of 8 small colonial-style living units. The houses are all relatively new, and completed to a good standard, making the Fleur de Lys one of the most booked and most highly-recommended hotels on La Digue. The rooms themselves are welcoming and bright thanks in part to the large double doors that lead out onto a porch that runs the whole length of the house and overlooks a quiet tropical garden, just 100m from the beach.
The interior furnishings are modern, practical, and functional. Upon entering the property through one of the two double doors, guests will find a well-equipped kitchen to the left, complete with microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, and refrigerator. In the kitchen there is also a dining table where guests can enjoy the fruits of their labour in the kitchen.
The separate bedroom offers up a kingsize bed, and is located on the other side of the house to the kitchen. The interior is partially air-conditioned, ensuring a good night's sleep will be had by all. The kingsize bed is surrounded by a mosquito net, and there is a large wardrobe for your clothes, as well as a dressing table to help you get ready for the day.
One of the most attractive features of the Fleur de Lys it its value-for-money. It consistently ranks among the best accommodations on La Digue, and allows guests to spend a truly relaxing holiday on the Seychelles' fourth-biggest island. Be sure to ask the owners anything, as both will gladly answer questions with typical Creole hospitality. Finally, if guests wish, there is a free daily room-service.

For the second time in five years in this accommodation. Unfortunately, time has stood still here in every respect. Cleanliness and service (work ethic) have fallen by the wayside. Hospitality actually non-existent. After 21 hours of traveling, there wasn't even a refreshing towel or even a cold drink at 32 degrees. Straight into the well-ventilated 32 degree room, air conditioning and fans were off. Fridge empty. The kettle and toaster were completely dirty (the explanation was because of the water). At least after discussions there was a new kettle. The mattress, well, was a better trampoline. The feathers were so bad that if one moved, the other immediately went into overdrive, making it virtually impossible to sleep. Breakfast between 8 and 9, without exceptions. Self-catering is recommended, not only because of the €26 a day for two, but you also save yourself the unmotivated sight of the service staff. Last but not least, no card payment, and receipt was only for the hotel tax, not for the bikes. I leave the second star because of the beautiful facility. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The accommodation is in a really quiet location on a side street, but very centrally located near the ferry pier. The covered terrace allows you to sit outside in any weather. The gardens are very well maintained. There is an outdoor shower and a clothesline behind the house. Furniture and appliances (refrigerator, kettle, stove, etc.) are very old, but functional. Only the bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning unit, which was very difficult to cope with the incredible heat. Bicycles can be rented for 100 rupees per day. The price for these is quite questionable as they are in quite poor condition. The bikes were brought on time and we were able to return them in the evening without any problems. Unfortunately, the staff is a bit unmotivated and sometimes unfriendly. Occasionally you had the feeling of being a nuisance. Luckily, this hasn't happened to us on our trip so far. A pity!! The bathroom urgently needs a makeover, the small basket in the shower was badly rusted, the drain plug in the sink was missing. All in all, everything here is very minimalist. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough space for storage. Unfortunately by far the worst accommodation. WiFi is very good and free. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
