Description:
The apartments of the Cote d'Or Apartment complex are located in the north-east of Praslin, where harmony and serenity form a part of daily life. This region is also home to the spectacular Cote d'Or beach, which is just 50 metres away from the apartments: from the balcony, guests can enjoy the nice ocean breeze. The property is also located close to a road, so guests can expect some background noise from traffic. However, this also provides easy-access to much of the rest of the island via rental car.
The apartments are furnished using the finest Italian wooden furniture, and include facilities such as a fully-fitted kitchen, air-conditioning, and WiFi, allowing guests to spend their self-catering holiday in comfort. Thanks to its ideal location on the famous Cote d'Or esplanade, the estate also has easy-access to a number of restaurants and small shops, allowing you to spontaneously decide upon meals and evening plans. We would recommend anyone staying here to book into the Pirogue and Le Laurier, whose Creole and international delicacies will satisfy any taste.
The apartments also lie near to the largest natural reserve on Praslin, the Vallée de Mai, which belongs to the UNESCO world heritage, thanks largely to the native Coco de Mer palm tree that can be found here. It's really a must-do while on Praslin, as it's hard to accurately reflect its natural beauty in words.

Accommodation with major drawbacks. Location right on the beach, but also right on a busy, noisy street. The location of the terrace is incredibly uncomfortable. It is located between the street and the house so that the air conditioning systems in all the apartments blow their warm exhaust air directly into this area. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. It is cleaned every day, but only very superficially; there are dead animals in the corners and on the windowsill. Lots of ants in the bathroom and behind the cupboards. In general, the apartments are very shabby and many things are broken. The front door needs to be locked because the door handle is broken, 2 room doors are also broken. One leg of the living room table almost falls off. One of the two showers could not be used (not even after a complaint) because the water did not drain. Too few cutlery and plates. What was there was incredibly dirty. We bought paper plates... There were 2 other tourist couples staying in the entire accommodation during our 6 days stay, the rest of the apartments were occupied by Indian or Pakistani guest workers. These were picked up by a truck at 8 a.m. and brought back at 4 p.m. As soon as the guest workers returned, the WiFi practically collapsed. This means that the WiFi was not usable from 4 p.m. until 8 a.m. Overall, we didn't feel welcome in the accommodation, the staff avoids you and responds dismissively to inquiries. The location of the apartment was very nice, across the street and on a beautiful beach. There was also nothing wrong with the terrace or balcony. Unfortunately the apartment wasn't exactly clean. Bed linen and towels were partly dirty and smelled musty. The kitchen equipment was very, very poor. The boss was curt, I missed friendliness there. The other staff were friendly.
