During this unique sailing cruise “Cocktail Créole” you will discover the most beautiful islands of the Seychelles over eight days. Next to the inhabited islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, you will also stop at islands not as easily accessible, such as Coco and Curieuse. Amazing snorkelling spots and unique beaches are waiting. The tour leaves on Saturdays from Mahe.
Activities and specials:
- Discover the most beautiful spots in the Seychelles.
- Enjoy full-board, allowing you to sit back and relax while the crew prepares delicious meals for you each day.
- Snorkeling and kayaking equipment available on-board.
Day 1: Mahé – Sainte Anne Marine Park
Check in is at 3 pm. Welcome on board! After your welcome briefing and you've moved into your cabin, the catamaran will set off on the short journey to the Sainte Anne Marine Park. Over 150 different types of fish inhabit the waters of this environmentally-protected region, and, thankfully, no loud watersports disturb the peace and quiet that surrounds. In the afternoon you'll have the chance to snorkel with some flippers through the beautiful 'natural aquarium' underneath the pristine turquoise surface. The boat will anchor for the night in this small corner of paradise.
Day 2: St. Anne - Praslin
In the morning, it's 'anchors away' towards Praslin, the second-largest of the Seychelles islands. Here, you have the (optional) chance to discover the Vallée de Mai, a palm-tree forest full of endemic Seychelles plant species, an opportunity that doesn't come along very often! One of the trees, the Coco de Mer, produces fruit that can weigh up to 48 kg (about 105 lbs), can grow to heights of up to thirty metres (100 ft), and around 400 years old. The sound that the wind makes as it whistles through the leaves of the palm trees here is unforgettable. Also on Praslin is Anse Lazio, which has been described by some magazines and commentators as one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole world.
Day 3: Praslin – La Digue
Early in the morning, the boat sets off once more. This time, it's just a short hop over to La Digue, a storybook island of unparalleled beauty, incredible beaches, fine white sand, and imposing granite formations. Discover the island by bike or in one of the traditional ox-carts, as the island is practically car-free. Discover Emanuelle's house, where the eponymous film was shot, the coconut factory, the giant tortoises, and enjoy the picturesque Anse Source d'Argent. The boat will anchor in La Passe, the small harbour town. Make sure you don't miss out on the Yellow House, great for photographs thanks to its attractive construction style, one of the best in the archipelago. Equally breathtaking is the scenery at Anse Source d'Argent about an hour before sunset, when the light bounces all around, giving this beautiful scenery a magical finishing touch.
Day 4: Coco Island, Curieuse
On day 4, the catamaran will take you to Coco Island, well-known as one of the 'must-see' spots for snorkeling fans. Coco Island is a perfect little desert island, with incredible granite formations, a small beach, palm trees, and crystal-clear water surrounding the shore, containing thousands of colourful schools of fish. Next, the trip will head to Curieuse, named after a schooner of the French East Indies Company, which was sent to Mauritius in 1768. This small island is about 2 km north-east of Praslin. Here, we should mention something about the 'ground rules' on Curieuse. Namely, that you're not allowed to ride on the back of one of the giant tortoises, and in general you must be sure to respect the natural environment that surrounds you. In the south-west of the island is the Doctor's House, which was originally useful, as the island used to be a leper-colony. These days, it houses a small mueseum. On the island, you can admire the freely-roaming giant tortoises, some of which are up to 200 years old. The beach in the south-east of the island and the bizarre, sharply-edged granite boulders are also well worth a trip to see.
Day 5: Curieuse – Saint Pierre
St. Pierre is a small rocky island just offshore from Praslin that is ideal for bathing in the water and for snorkeling. Around the granite blocks here, many tame, colourful fish swim. Overnight, the catamaran anchors in front of Praslin.
Day 6: Praslin – Cousin – Mahé
The (almost) circular island, Cousin, is around 29 hectares in size, and a sanctuary for endangered bird species. In 1968, the island was purchased from the authorities to be turned into a nature reserve, thanks to help from the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). Here, you can discover numerous bird species in the trees. Visit this bird paradise (optional), in which five different types of birds that are unique to this island live. Finally, the catamaran will sail back over to the main island, Mahé, where it will stop for the night in Beau Vallon. Here, you can spend some time trying out one of the many watersports opportunities available.
Day 7 (Friday): Mahé
In the morning you will reach one of the most beautiful bays of Mahé, from there, you could decide to visit Victoria, the small capital of the island. After the evening spent on St. Anne or on Eden Island, the final meal will be served on board before the last night on St. Anne or on the VPM base on Eden Island.

Very bad impact. On departure day with about 3 hours delay due to failure. An old catamaran that presented problems right from the start, in addition to the mechanical one was not the distributor of drinking water, coffee machine up to the flooding of the cabin occupied by a pair of French (lost first half day). On the second day, when we wake up again, there is a mechanical problem that causes us to lose another two hours and then start again and face a crossing of about 4 hours (Mahe-Praslin) in rough seas with only one engine running. At the end of the second day, given the many vicissitudes, the skipper informs us of his decision to be replaced. Thanks to the intervention of another German nationality couple who immediately contact their agency complaining about the events, we are replaced by the catamaran and the skipper and the cook. We are only on the second day of navigation .... not bad as a start! The rest of the days are much better thanks to the new catamaran and the new crew. However, the two days left are wasted and the many doubts about why we have not been immediately given a boat to the height. However, we want to emphasize the professionalism and competence of the second skipper and cook ... they have tried in every way to recover after the bad start. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Perfect. Good food, experienced a lot. Dreamlike places met. Only the rather small and Spartan cabin. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The highlight of our trip was the subsequent one-week catamaran cruise, which we liked very much. We were only nine people plus a skipper and the chef, who prepared us daily delicious food, but for us were not always sufficient. It was partly too little for me. We have seen many beautiful islands and corners that you would not have reached without a boat. Mostly it was unfortunately so that you were never alone. Since where you went ashore and spent the night there were always many other catamarans with tourists, so that no Robinson Cruse feeling arose. There was unfortunately also "mass tourism", since the attractions have also been approached by 10-20 catamarans at the same time. Nevertheless, the week was very nice, because the boat was very clean and pleasant. The cabins were very small, but we knew that before. But what did not work was that there was no air conditioning in the cabins. There was only a mini fan and we slept in our own "juice". This is a NO GO and then for so much money! That needs to be changed for the future. In addition, was already at the entrance an unpleasant slight "Kotgeruch" in our cabins. That was not so pleasant. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay very much, as we have seen a lot from the Seychelles. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Great cruise. You can see a lot and come to places where you can not go with normal island hopping. We were lucky and got a nice troupe. You can not expect a luxury suite, the cabins are very small but functional and clean. No air conditioning, but all cabins have a skylight, so the warm air can pull off well. Good sleep is guaranteed. The chef (Anotoine) was great, great food. The captain (Konrad) has always chosen beautiful bays and destinations. The snorkeling experience is limited due to the windy weather in the summer (often poor visibility), but we had great waves on the beaches. We sailed also, but with engine support, so not a 100% sail feeling, but does not bother. The catamaran often rides over waves due to the 2 hulls and the size, so it rocks much less so a normal sailboat. You do not have to book the drinks package, we would certainly have been cheaper without. For every meal there was always juice and water for free. With beverage package you got on request 2 beer or 2 glasses of wine and a rum with juice (Aperetiv). But you can not drink that much now. (So we often have lunch only the anyway free water and the juice drunk. The ride is altogether very recommendable but rather for people who are with both legs in the life rather for rich luxury fanatics rather less suitable. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Everything was wonderful, food and drinks were delicious, a big compliment to captain and cook air conditioning in the cabin would be appropriate Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The boat would need some maintenance and some extra accessories (for example there were three kayaks in very bad condition, one that sank, with insufficient number of oars) while I would expect stand-up paddles, now widespread. The tender also needed to be fine-tuned. That said, the boating holiday was absolutely exceptional and unique, and I wouldn't see a better way to travel. The cleanliness of the boat was excellent, the service rendered and the food perfect, the absolutely fantastic crew (Conrad, Miriam, Lorenzo, Rajid and Chris), professional, helpful, smiling. Highly recommended (the same that is missing is only for what was said at the beginning). Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
The crew was super friendly, the food and the overall care top notch. The yacht, it was the "Gauguin") was always clean (cabin service perfect), but unfortunately an aging catamaran (therefore only 4 stars). Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Cleanliness and food very good, special thanks to the attentive and friendly crew Captain Maurice and cook Dean. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The week on the catamaran we loved: daily new, varied islands (among other things Curieuse sensational because of the giant tortoises, La Digue fantastically because of the beaches and Praslin impressive because of the Vallée de Mai) and many opportunities for snorkeling, where we also skate , Turtles and others have seen. The captain was terrific entertaining, incredibly nice and always had some exciting stories from his long time at sea in stock. The crew was great too! Kudos to the chef: The food was incredibly delicious and varied-it could not be any better! The cabins are of course not very big, but we knew that before, so this was not bad. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Great crew, clean, uncomplicated, top chef "Dingo" - excellent and varied eaten, very reliable and helpful, flexible, with the catamaran you have the opportunity to discover many beautiful and interesting points and you also have various good snorkeling opportunities (of course, swimming ), was absolutely gorgeous and top (11 persons and 2 persons crew) Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The staff (cook, skipper, hostess) was very friendly except for the captain. Food was very good, but after a week curry then the enthusiasm for these dishes is over. Quality of food and drinks very good. We were lucky that the catamaran was not booked. Tours and excursions are great. You have to be aware that you are dealing with a different culture that is not punctual on the minute. But you are also on vacation and not at work. Everything worked out great. if you let that go you can relax wonderfully. However, if you get a cabin with the water pump as we do, you can hardly sleep at night. The pump works for hours, even if no water is used. Shutdown was not possible. For point deduction. Nevertheless, thank you for this wonderful experience to all! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The millet and unique way, in my opinion, to visit the archipelago. The islands seen from the sea take your breath away, the sunsets are magical and the marine life is indescribable. What then made sure that the holiday was beautiful was the catamaran and the Crew. Boat very clean, small cabins (not a hotel) but perfectly comfortable, food on board cooked by a great chef and captain and skipper very good in travel to make us enjoy the islands. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
The stay on the catamaran was great. The crew was great, super friendly very helpful, we would definately go back to the same. What the chef from the small kitchen conjured up Creole treats was fantastic (and every day fish, meat and vegetarian!). Two caveats (which were none): 1. The catamaran is big, but it is not a cruise ship, as we had a great group of fellow travelers, there was no reason to try to avoid each other. 2. The engine is mostly used (100% by us), as the wind was simply not enough to create the route with sailing in time. The route and organization of each stop was fantastic and the mix of shore excursions, beach stays and snorkeling opportunities was perfect. (Who has the same route: the excursion on Cousin Island is much better to enjoy if you know what unbelievable amounts of mosquitoes lurk here - no comparison with any other place where we were) Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
very comfortable, spacious and functional catamaran. Cleanliness and impeccable on-board services. The crew very hospitable and helpful Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Nice week on the catamaran. Highly recommended to see a lot of the Seychelles islands. Boat was getting very old and looked a bit shabby. Unfortunately, never sailed. The sailing catamaran only ran under engine with reference to the fixed schedule. This should be communicated beforehand to avoid disappointment. Otherwise very nice skipper and good cook on board. Great crew, great food and perfect weather. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
