Description:
Modern accommodation for self-caterers amidst green, tropical scenery; that’s what you’ll find at the Kanasuk Self Catering Apartments in the Anse aux Poules Bleues region in the south of Mahé. This bright house offers dark brown wooden window frames and balconies, all in a peaceful location on a hill. The surrounding area was once home to pineapple plants and sugar cane, which gives the estate its name, as “Kanasuk” means sugar cane. These days, there are banana trees, coconut palms, and many other exotic plants that add to the views in the garden that you can enjoy from your balcony.
The spacious rooms are practical and cosily-fitted with a terrace or balcony each. Dark brown, modern wooden furniture is combined with shell decorations and tasteful Seychelles pictures on the white walls lend the rooms some island atmosphere. The apartments themselves are comfortable, and the bedrooms are home to cosy beds and air-conditioning for comfortable temperatures, while the living area is home to ceiling fans for a fresh breeze. The kitchen is fully-equipped in each apartment and contains a washing machine too, ensuring you have all that you need for a self-catering holiday. The whole package is rounded off nicely with an en-suite bathroom with a chic, walk-in shower.
The accommodation is located really close to a small, beautiful beach called Anse aux Poules Bleues, which shares its name with the surrounding region, which itself lies in the Baie Lazare district, where pirate treasure was once discovered. There are shops where you can buy groceries and other day-to-day items nearby, as well as a bus stop that will take you all the way to the capital city, Victoria, if you like. There, you can take a trip through the famous botanical garden or browse the colourful market stalls. In terms of restaurants, there is some good home-made cuisine nearby within 10 or 20 minutes by car. Finally, don’t miss out on the stunning 3 km beach called Petite Anse or Anse Soleil with its stunning white sand and turquoise water.
