The Villa Bananier is a lovely hotel situated near to two of Praslin's most beautiful beaches, Anse Volbert and Anse Gourvernement. The villa also lies close to the small beach village Cote d'Or, which offers small shops and some good restaurants for guests to enjoy.
2 × Superior Room (up to 2 people)
4 × Double Room Villa Annex (up to 2 people)
Activities and specials:
- Serene yet lively location. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance, inviting guests to take an evening stroll.
- The owner of the villa is friends with the head of Pascal Opal Car Rentals, so guests can easily arrange a rental car for around €40/day, delivered straight to the hotel.
- Besides the nearby shops and restaurants, you can also find a number of third-party tour operators offering boat trips to some of the Seychelles' other islands.
- St. Pierre island, a real Robinson Crusoe affair, is only 5 minutes away by boat, and definitely worth a visit!
- The owner of the villa offers a marvellous boat tour to the islands of Curieuse and St. Pierre.
The Villa Bananier, run by Seychellois local Anne and her husband, lies in a prime location, near to the coastal village Cote d'Or, the luxurious Le Duc hotel, and one of Praslin's best beaches, Anse Volbert. A small path leads from the hotel to the beach and its small offshore islets. The slope of the sand into the water is gentle, and the sand itself is pristine and white, making the beach a perfect prospect for swimming all year-round. This contrasts with some of Praslin's other beaches, which suffer from seaweed at various times throughout the year.
However, the beach is far from the location's only advantage. The nearby Cote d'Or village offers some excellent small beach restaurants, including the Creole 'Art' Café, complete with its uniquely attractive interior. This gives guests of the Villa Bananier maximum flexibility with their meal options. If you don't feel like eating at the hotel, you have other options right on your doorstep. However, if you do decide to enjoy the hotel's food, prepared by the landlady and her team, then you can book it on-site.
All in all, the Villa Bananier is a welcoming, pleasantly-run establishment, and the owners are commited to making their guests feel at home with little touches such as the safe at reception and the overnight laundry service. Therefore, the hotel receives our genuine recommendation!

The trade winds between December and February will wash up some seaweed on the island of Praslin. This may make the water a little cloudy but also provides yet more evidence that the underwater world around the Seychelles is in top health. Please note that the opposite coast of the island of Praslin does not have this effect.

The accommodation in the guest house was very good. The room was large and clean. The room was also cleaned daily. The location was ok too. To the beach you had to walk about 400 meters. On site there are also good shopping and restaurants. We would recommend this accommodation. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Brilliant reception. I particularly love the fact that they pay attention to details. They give customers unique services tailored to the customer's interest.
I stayed six days at Villa Bananier, an excellent location in five minutes you are on the beach and in the various restaurants. Decent breakfast and friendly staff, nice rooms with huge balconies and everything super clean. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
The transfer service was 100% great! We are very satisfied. On arrival we were greeted by the boss. Immediately we got wifi and could our loved ones at home participate in this great trip. Also, the lady of the house gave us information, what we can do where and where is what. We opted for a great day trip to La Curieuse. The drive to the turtle island, the hike, the barbecue and the snorkeling at St. Pierre were an absolute high light! Our room was wonderfully decorated, clean and the breakfast good. Nadeesha, our roomboy from Sri Lanka, was a very friendly, dear, young man, with whom we liked to speak English! This accommodation is tucked away in the second street about 150 meters from the beach and not on a main road. So we had exactly the peace and location that we had wished for. Perfect choice - thank you dear team. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Positive: location near the beach, good connection (bus and bike rental next door), cleanliness, service Negative: breakfast could be varied Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
My hostess, Anne is charming and I was well received. The room was very spacious with good internet access. Located on the ground floor, I had a terrace! The golden side is a very good location for shops and catering Important detail, I could have the kitchen, well equipped to make my own meals. Cherry on the cake, I was able thanks to an employee of the guest house, to go to the curious island and the islet st Pierre at a price unbeatable competition Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Apparently simple but its familiarity is actually its value. It offers all the comforts of other accommodations very quiet and convenient to reach the other parts of the island. You can improve the Wi-Fi range and even breakfast Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Super clean and friendly staff. Very good location. The Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Unfortunately, when we arrived in our room, the flushing of the toilet did not work properly. Then we got without complications a new (larger) room without extra charge. The staff were very friendly, but made only the bare minimum. The breakfast was very carelessly: soluble coffee (a filter machine would have been in the kitchen), 2 slices of toast per person, eggs on demand (when my friend and I both asked for two eggs it was said per person only 1 egg). The owner of the accommodation offered us a Creole dinner for 25 € per person, which we were very disappointed. She set the bowls and plates at the table and let us know that it was ready. Then she disappeared without a word and left us alone. For food there was a fish for both of us, some coleslaw and some must. For "dessert" there was ice from the cup. Everything is not a problem and tasted it, but for 25 € we expected more! The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. The sheets and pillows were not as clean as you would like. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
We felt very warm welcome and were well looked after. Car rental, boat tour. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Breakfast a disaster. Trip rip-off. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The accommodation was tip top clean. Also the location to restaurants, shops and the beautiful beach was very good. The only deficit was the breakfast. Toast, a bit of fruit and soluble coffee were not the hit Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
very good value for money near the beach shops good location very friendly owner Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Size clean rooms, breakfast is OK, friendly staff. The location is very good. Five minutes to the very beautiful beach. Many good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very comfortable and nice guesthouse a stone's throw from the wonderful beach of Anse Volbert! Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
It was clean, but a little cramped and it was the same every day for breakfast and lt was then also scrambled eggs or fried eggs and omelet served. There were fruits every day. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Our favorite island with the most beautiful beach and great restaurants. The location is great. A short walk and you are on the beach. A nice clerk also told me all the fruits growing in the garden. Many Thanks. Everything OK. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very good breakfast. Owner friendly and available. Spacious and pleasant room. Close to buses and beaches. Kitchen reserved for guests to prepare meals. Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
I also had a great, large room with terrace access. Unfortunately after 2 days the air conditioning was broken, but the innkeeper did everything, so that it will be fixed quickly. Unfortunately, the technology did not quite match, but I easily got another room and everything was great. The breakfast was good, also always a fruit plate. The innkeeper was very delightful: it was on 2 days very long and heavy rain and she took me to the supermarket by car. Before my snorkeling trip, she offered to give me a sunburn if she gave me aloe vera. The sunburn failed, but I found it very nice and attentive. Also, as Creole (Sabrina) apparently forgot us, she intervened to get our transfer to the ferry. We recommend! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
A great guesthouse! Rooms are clean and well equipped. The breakfast is good (toast, jam, butter, egg, fruit plate, cereal, tea or coffee). The care of the owner is excellent (warm, friendly, ...). It is always available as your house is next to it. You can always ask everything and get excellent answers or help. The guesthouse is not far from a nice beach and is centrally located. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The owner is very friendly and helpful, but the staff in the house are not very diligent. Three ladies serve customers during breakfast and can not even make a scrambled egg or pancake, which is standard in other accommodations. On explicit request we got scrambled eggs in one day, but on the second day the ladies did not make it anymore. 6 days only cereal, a few slices of toasted bread with jam and fruit + cake to eat was a bit small and very one-sided ... The room was very large and comfortable, however, the floor was not really cleaned, under the bed remained dust. All in all OK, but the breakfast definitely needs to get better ... Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Service was ok, negative were outdoor spotlights, the nights at the non-darkened room lit up at breakfast everything seemed to be counted, for example 1.5 toast per person Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Far too expensive compared to the other accommodations. Sparse breakfast, with 4 tiny fruit pieces under plastic, counted bread slices, ridiculous. Ugly rooms, eye pain in the bathroom, everything pink. No internet in the 3 days, ugly breakfast room - location well. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Friendly, nice and accommodating! The breakfast typical "continental" with fresh squeezed juice. The room was on the first two nights not the booked category as there was a water damage after that we even got an upgrade. All was clean you can wash and it is quiet but centrally located good location! Definitely a boat trip to Curieuse in connection with BBQ and snorkeling with the family-internal "excursion service" make! Food: Creole highly recommended in the guest pants Restauranttip: Pirogue! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
This accommodation did not meet my expectations and also think that this is not necessarily recommended ...! Bad beds, not hygienic ...., I've also heard from other travelers. Too loud, it was first hammered at the property and then days directly around it. A real shame... Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very good location: very close to the beach, bus, restaurants. The room was made daily. Nice terrace. The worst breakfast we have experienced in Seychelles: soluble coffee, toast, bought jam, cornflakes, fruits. The staff friendly but distant. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
SIMPLE accommodation. Close to the beach. The owner was very friendly and helpful !! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very helpful, hospitable and always approachable owner. Room always clean. Varied breakfast. Very good location (beach, restaurants, shops, bus stop nearby). Family atmosphere. Very good quality (also by the possibility of sharing the kitchen). Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Our hostess was very friendly. The hotel was clean and quiet. Small breakfast. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
everything perfect here too; located in a quiet side street; only a few meters to the beach; shopping and restaurants (also takeaway) within walking distance; see good free Wi-Fi; adequate breakfast; nice personel Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Excellent location a few steps from the beach and from the departure for excursions, friendly and helpful staff, the only flaw in the connection with Wi-Fi, poor network. Clean rooms Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Basic room, good location. Kind reception and willingness to provide suggestions even if the owners are not always present in the structure. Excessive presence of ants in the room, bathroom, and even in the common area of the kitchen and breakfast room. Free internet, no TV in the room. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Everything great. It was clean and tidy. We felt very comfortable there. One can only recommend. The staff was very friendly. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
We were warmly received and well looked after. The room was very clean and we felt really comfortable. The short walk to the beach, the quiet location and the proximity of the bus station were ideal. We explored the island by public bus. We had a very good meal in the Pizzeria du Berjaya on Anse Volbert beach - there are wonderful Red Snapper and live music here. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
That was fine. Breakfast toast, jam and limited coffee. On the second day we asked if you could order an egg. Was not a problem. But the second day, ask again. You had to ask after everyone and somehow that felt weird. So the staff seemed a little listless, but was very friendly. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Nice area in a good location. About 5 minutes walk to the "center" and the beach. Bus stop about 10 minutes away. Nice clean rooms, fully functional kitchen for self-catering. Ann is very nice and helps where possible. Small drawback: rooms are very noisy. Ie it could be a bit loud, mind you "could" Otherwise, we were completely satisfied. Breakfast was kept simple, but who was worth on sausage or similar. places, can stock up in the nearby supermarket. We did that too. Wi-Fi pretty weak on the chest but you are at least after vacation, right? Would we book VB again? Definitely yes. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very clean, not far to the beach, several options in the evening to eat, very friendly owners Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The landlady was friendly and the accomodation simple but clean. One was allowed to use the kitchen. The location is great, within walking distance to the Cote d'Or. Do not miss out on a public bus ride to Anse Lazio or the National Park! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Great location, great service ... Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Not recommended for European customers, very low quality standards, scandalous breakfast, insufficient room, bad bathroom. Owners of the rude and intolerant facility. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
The staff was friendly, but rarely found. The rooms were big and clean but a lot was broken. Air conditioning could not be adjusted properly and dripped throughout. Warm water we had the first 2 days unfortunately not at all but they tried immediately to repair. The breakfast was not great and you would have to wait forever until one came. It was very difficult to find someone from the hotel staff. Here we would not go again. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Nice welcome from tour guide and owner. Both were always available. Location very good, only 5 minutes from the Anse Volbert and the place. Large clean room with fridge and balcony. Shared kitchen in the EC was also large and well equipped. We felt very comfortable there. Friendly service. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
My room on the ground floor was shabby (but you can read about many guesthouses on the islands), staff and owner very friendly and tried hard to solve any problem, breakfast very spartan, good location - close to the bus stop, on the edge of the small village with shops and Various dining options, rooms clean Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very clean, charming and attentive staff. Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Great Guesthouse! A few meters from the beach and the bus stop, owner very nice, room very nice, super clean. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The accommodation was clean, nice room. What is missing in this accommodation, unfortunately, is the very poor breakfast, compared to the other accommodations. Unfortunately there was only toast and 2 sorts of jam and in the 5 nights 1x a Frühstücksei, as it should be possible that you get at least daily an egg (fried eggs, scrambled eggs). Location is ok it is within walking distance of everything. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The facility is clean. The staff politely. The breakfast typical of the country. The outdoor area and the veranda as well as the breakfast area could be more appealing, but overall, everything was fine. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Was the easiest lodging in our 2 weeks in Seychelles. Owner and especially the staff were very friendly to us and our little daughter. Breakfast was rather little, but quite adequate. Since our room was right next to the breakfast room, was in the morning mostly between 7 and 7:30 clock bustle in front of the door. Also in the evening you have to be lucky with the room neighbors, so you do not involuntarily stay awake for a long time. Beach (especially the area at the Cafe des Artes, 2 minutes walk) is fantastic. The dinner in the accommodation was very good, a whole fish with salad and various side dishes for € 25 per person. Something annoying for us was that we did not get the superior room we booked, but a normal standard room. A little more space with a toddler would have been nice, especially if you paid more for it. If you do not mind the possible background noise, then the location recommended, otherwise I would especially for longer stays choose a different accommodation. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Clean and good, friendly staff. Once there dinner - fish and rice with curry - 425 rupees per nose. No 5 minutes to the beach Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
The Villa Bananier was impeccable, both Anne the landlady and the staff, cleanliness and attention to every detail and helpfulness and courtesy: We had a great time Thank you. The transfers were punctual. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
First island PRASLIN Villa Bananier: guesthouse in a great location 5 minutes from the Cote D'Or beach, spacious room and bathroom, air-conditioned, breakfast with milk, butter, jams, yogurt and fresh fruit (Italians lack some brioches). We enjoyed evening meals or chicken or fish that were exquisite prepared by Mrs. Perfect cleaning. We found ourselves at home. Good location to visit the island. Translation (IT): GoogleTranslate
Great location. Only a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach. Restaurant, takeaway, supermarket near the beach. Just 10 minutes to the bus stop. By bus, the Valle de Mai and in the other direction, the Anse Lazio easy to reach (attention: the last piece you have to walk, about 30 minutes steep, but paved road) to the accommodation: clean, nice rooms; friendly staff; simple breakfast with fruit, cake Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Everything we needed was present. We had 4 great days on Praslin.
The accommodation is well maintained and the staff helpful and nice. The property is located near the beach and is quiet and cozy. The breakfast could be a bit more. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Clean, good location, staff friendly and helpful. Good dinner. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
As a guest with friends directly at the beautiful Anse Volbert! I will gladly come again! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Very well located and very welcoming. one downside for me is the wifi that works very badly. I could not check my emails, luckily I stayed for a short time. Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Great location, large room, friendly welcome. Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Super stay in banana villa. Very friendly staff welcoming and full of services. Transfer ok punctuality. To recommend. If we were to return to Seychelles a Banana Villa Praslin would be our accommodation. Room very clean comfortable air-conditioned with safe. Translation (FR): GoogleTranslate
Everything good except for the old mattresses. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
We felt very well, it was really very good! Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
